Kings Canyon lies half way from Alice Springs to Ayers rock. The area around is called Watarrka National Park. This canyon is the deepest and most impressing in the red centre, but its not comparable to the Grand Canyon in the USA. There is a nice campground near the canyon. You can do great walking trails following the canyon.
